I love when jewelry is dated! This is an 18k yellow gold wedding band dated 1897. It measures just under 1/2" wide, it's a size 6 1/2 and would be difficult to size because of the engraving.
In 1897 Theodore Roosevelt was not yet president, the first Boston Marathon was run (with 15 participants). Thomas Edison started developing the movie projector, the Library of Congress opened and Amelia Earhart was born. How cool is that!
